Project Development Issues

I think that my capstone will not be that hard to complete. I think that the one main factor that I will have to overcome however is learning how to budget my time well. One thing that I am bad at is starting things early. I am normally a procrastinator and that is when I normally complete my work. For the capstone to be a success, I have to begin early and take the project one step at a time. I will first have to start with storyboards and figure out a general idea of what exactly will be in my project. After I finish this, I will begin using the software adobe flash, after effects and possibly even premiere pro to complete my project. My project will not cost anything as I will use the software on the school computers. My number one concern however, will be trying to work around my work schedule because I work about 60 to 70 hours per week. I think that to do my project effectively, I will have to talk to my manager and see that if I could get my hours reduced in order to finish my project.

Capstone Category

I think the general category of my capstone would probably be either animation or video. Like I said in a previous post, my capstone will be a synchronization of animation with music. My capstone would not really fit into the audio category because I am not creating an original sound composition. Rather, I will be using a song that is already made.

Class Discussion

I am beginning to feel more confident in my overall capstone idea. I feel that my idea is unique and I have never seen it done before. Alot of the ideas on my classmates blogs are also very cool and I hope that they are able to do their capstones to the best of their abilities. I am enjoying this class so far and I hope that by the end of this class I will be able to create my capstone with a big head of confidence.
